Align App
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Align is a concept I designed for all-in-one scheduling. This app has space for to-do lists, habit tracking, goal-setting, and a calendar.
After designing a basic branding system, I designed/prototyped the interface, including a light/dark mode.

Week 1
The brief was to design the UI for a utility app, so I chose to create a minimalistic, streamlined all-in-one scheduling app called Align. I designed a basic style guide in Figma, giving it a logo, colors, and typography.
The app's purpose is to cut down on the amount of apps needed to plan out everything that goes in a day –– events, to-dos, habits, etc. I researched popular scheduling and list apps, then sketched out multiple possible layouts for different page.

Week 2
I designed a set of wireframes that matched up with the information architecture, leaving space for icons and content.
The design system I came up was very simple, with slight drop shadows, rounded edges, and thin divider lines. I wanted the design to feel very unobtrusive, so the user could focus on the content without distractions or unnecessary elements.

Week 3
Using the design system and wireframes, I built out and prototyped Align's UI.

Week 4
After receiving critiques, I made edits accordingly. I reduced harsh drop shadows, thinned out multiple heavy lines, and adjusted spacing and text size to give the final product a more refined look. I also added a dark mode, checking that colors still met accessibility standards.
